There is an exhibition of the lovely work produced by the artists who we worked with in the Grainger Market in Newcastle.
This work is a collection of the chapbooks that they created and they feature such a diverse range of stories and is a true celebration of the architecture and heritage of Newcastle.
During the course of the engagement we worked with groups from across the city and the exhibition first went live during Heritage Open Days (HODs) in September. This provided the springboard for us to take members of the public on sketchwalks during the HODs weekend. Working with the Cultural and Creative Zone in Newcastle we were able to connect these pieces of work in order to demonstrate what a lively and interesting place Newcastle is - but we all know that don’t we?
Complete set of work done for the Figures of Tyne displays the variety and industry of Newcastle and allows us to investigate some really unique viewpoints of this history by the individual artists involved.
